Kulana Laulima Council (KLC) is a Hawaiʻi-based nonprofit organization created to support military members, veterans, and their families through charitable and educational programs that strengthen morale, resilience, stability, and long-term well-being.
The organization focuses on improving quality of life across the military lifecycle by supporting areas such as:
- Development — personal, family, and professional growth
- Transition — navigating military-to-civilian and other life transitions
- Recognition — honoring service and sacrifice
- Integration — helping military-connected families connect with community, education, and civilian life
KLC operates as a civilian nonprofit organization organized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and is governed by a Board of Directors that provides strategic oversight and fiduciary guidance rather than day-to-day operational management.
The Council’s mission is carried out through:
- Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR)-enhancing initiatives
- Educational support and enrichment
- Workforce and career readiness programs
- Wellness and resilience activities
- Community partnerships
- Scholarships and life-skills education
KLC is structured to provide year-round support in Hawaiʻi and through virtual platforms for geographically dispersed military families.
